How long does shipping take?
To get your Aussie food to you quickly and safely at the cheapest rates possible, we have provided 4 COVID-19 shipping options that you can choose from. These times take expected delays into account:
- Seamail (for orders weighing up to 20kg) Via Australia Post for Canada, plus countries in Zones 7 & 8.
Shipment via sea has become a required during COVID-19 delays due to no direct shipments being available in these countries. Expected delivery times are 4-12 weeks from despatch.
- Standard (for orders weighing up to 20kg) Via Australia Post for all countries not mentioned above. All countries other than Canada and Zone 7/8 countries can take advantage of this option. Expected delivery times are 4-7 weeks from despatch.
- Express (for orders weighing up to 20kg) Via Australia Post.
This is a faster shipping option, and it is tracked just like standard shipping. For metropolitan areas it usually arrives in 2-5 business days in New Zealand, United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong and Japan. For the rest of the world it usually takes 3-7 business days to ship to metropolitan areas. Expected delivery times are now 2-4 weeks from despatch due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
- Priority (for orders weighing up to 30kg) via DHL.
This is an expedited shipping service, and is tracked door to door, as well as transported in DHL vehicles from the point it is picked up from us through to delivery. You will receive extensive tracking throughout your order’s entire journey. Delivery times are usually up to 1 week from despatch. Articles may be delivered up to a week late due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Delays can often occur during Christmas and Easter periods, as well as if the package is held up in customs or for unforeseen reasons such as weather or postage strikes. The COVID-19 situation will lead to transit delays worldwide. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

How is the shipping price calculated?
The price of shipping is calculated on the weight of the order, the country which it is being delivered to, and the shipping option that you select. Our shipping calculator can help you to work out whether you are able to add more items to your shopping cart without increasing the shipping cost.
The Australian Food Shop difference
We receive excellent rates from Australia Post and DHL which we pass straight onto our customers. This makes it much cheaper for us to send food and products than if family or friends posted it them themselves.
